3 cups flour
¼ teaspoon baking soda
2 sticks butter
3 cups sugar
6 large eggs
1 cup (8 oz) sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 325 degrees. Grease tube pan (don’t use butter or margarine). Fit a circle of parchment or brown paper in the bottom of the pan and grease the paper, then flour the pan.

Sift flour, then measure. Add baking soda, re-sift twice and set aside. Cream butter and add sugar slowly.
Add eggs one at a time and beat after each.
Stir in sour cream.
Add flour mixture ½ cup at a time. Beat constantly
Add vanilla and beat.

Turn into tube pan. Bake for 1 ½ hours or until done. Cool 5 minutes and remove from pan
