1/4 c oleo
1/3 c sugar
3/4 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 c milk
1 can gooseberries
TOPPING
1/2 c sugar
1 Tbsp oleo
1 c boiling water

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375. Drain gooseberries and set aside. Cream oleo and sugar. Add baking powder to flour; add to oleo and mix well. Add milk and mix well. Spread into a greased 8" pan. Top with gooseberries. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup sugar. Dot with oleo, then pour boiling water over all. Bake for 30 - 40 minutes.
