1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 egg
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 to 2 cups rhubarb

1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon

Cream brown sugar and shortening. Add egg, then milk, flour, soda, salt and vanilla. Mix well. Add rhubarb last. Bake in greased 9x13 pan. Sprinkle top with sugar and cinnamon.
Bake at 350 for 35 minutes.
