3 c. shredded cabbage 3 T. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 1/2 c. milk 1/2 c. buttered bread crumbs 3 T. oleo 1/2 tsp. pepper 3/4 c. grated cheese
Cook cabbage in small amount of water with a pinch of salt (don't overcook). Melt oleo; add flour, salt, pepper and milk. Cook until thickens. Drain any water left from cabbage. Alternate layer of cabbage, grated cheese, and white sauce in greased baking dish. Top with bread crumbs. Bake at 350º F. for 20 minutes or until brown.
