2 c. all purpose flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt (optional)
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. raisins
1 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. melted butter or margarine
1 can applesauce (16 oz.)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients. Add raisins, walnuts, melted butter and applesauce. Stir until well blended. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 9" pan. Bake in 350 oven, 45 - 50 minutes. Cool.

Can be sprinkled with powdered sugar, frosted, or served with Cool Whip or whipped cream. We prefer it plain.
