6 T butter or margarine
1 pound powdered sugar - sifted - (abt 4 3/4 Cups)
1/4 C milk or light cream (Approx)
1 1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and gradually add about half of sifted powdered sugar, blending well. Beat in 2 T cream and vanilla. Gradually blend in remaining sugar. Add enough cream to make consistency for spreading.

Note: To make chocolate frosting, add 2-1 oz squares of unsweetened chocolate, melted & cooled with the vanilla.
