4 medium green chilie peppers - chopped
6 medium tomatoes - chopped
1 1/2 onions - chopped
1 Tbsp ground ginger
1Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp ground cloves
1 Tbsp cardamom seeds - crushed with hulls removed
1 Tbsp little round seeds ( name unknown )
1 tsp tumeric powder
1 Tbsp chili powder
1 cup fresh cilantro - chopped
10 chicken legs or thighs

Directions:
Directions:
In a large Dutch oven, stir fry onions, chilie peppers and little round seeds in vegetable oil until onions turn clear. Then make a paste with the ground ginger and garlic powder and a little water. Add ginger / garlic paste, tumeric powder, chili powder, crushed cloves and cardamom seeds to the onions. Add chicken pieces and enough water for it to simmer in. Cook about 15 minutes - covered. After 15 minutes, add tomatoes and cilantro. Cook chicken until done. Serve with rice.
