6 parts fruit 3 part sugar water 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp clove 1/2 tsp nutmeg
Wash and cut fruit. Almost cover with water and cook until tender enough to put through a colander. Press through colander and add 1/2 as much sugar as you have fruit. Add 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg to each pint of fruit. Simmer until thick in a 350º oven. Stir every 30 minutes for 2 hours or so.
