8 qts popped corn
1 cup nuts - optional
2 c brown sugar
1 cup butter or margarine
1 tsp salt
1/2 c Karo© syrup
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Separate the un-popped kernels of corn and discard. Put popped corn and nuts into two pans. Set aside. Melt butter in a 2 quart sauce pan. Combine brown sugar, salt, Karo©, and vanilla with the butter. Stir well and bring to a boil. Boil 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and quickly stir in baking soda. Mix well and pour over the popped corn. Bake at 250º for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Store in an airtight container.
