1 c. unsalted butter or margarine, at room temp.
1 c. cooking oil
1 c. white sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
4-1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine butter/margarine, oil and sugars. Mix well. Add eggs. Beat two minutes or until well blended. Add vanilla, then the flour, soda and cream of tartar which have been sifted together. Mix well. Drop by teaspoonful on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes.

As an alternative, can roll dough into 1-inch balls and then roll in sugar, and flatten slightly with a fork before baking.
