Cream together:
1 tablespoon Oleo
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
Sift together:
1 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
3 tablespoon cocoa
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream oleo and sugar together. Add milk. Set aside. Sift dry ingredients together. Mix everything together and pour into a 9" pan. Sprinkle nuts on top. Pour 1 cup of boiling water over all. Bake 30 minutes at 350.

It took us 1 hour to get home on the school bus in the evenings. We would often come home very, very tired and put this easy cake in the oven. Warm chocolate cake and cold milk would keep us from starving until Daddy got home and we had supper.
