1 1/2 cup water
1 stick butter
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup oatmeal
1 cup Brown Sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
Nutmeg and Cinnamon to taste

Topping
1 stick butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoon milk

Directions:
Directions:
Bring first 3 ingredients to a boil. Add oatmeal and cook for 1 minute. Let sit for 30 minutes.
In a mixing bowl combine sugars, eggs, and vanilla. Sift in flour mixture. Put together with oatmeal, pour into pan. Bake together for 35 minutes at 350 degrees. Melt 1 stick butter with 3/4 cup brown sugar, dissolve, add 3 tablespoon, milk and coconut or nuts to taste. Poke holes in top of hot cake and pour mixture over cake.
