1 cup flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c sugar
2 T. shortening
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup (each) white and brown sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1 cup boiling water

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour. Sift flour with baking powder, salt and 3/4 cup sugar. Add flour mixture to softened shortening. Mix in milk vanilla and nuts. Mix well. Pour into greased shallow round baking dish.
