1/2 cup shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. grated lemon rind
1 cup sugar
1 egg, beaten
2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
2 Tbls. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening, sugar, and egg. Add salt, lemon rind and milk. Sift together flour, baking powder, and soda. Stir into other ingredients. Mix well. Drop by rounded teaspoon onto lightly greased baking sheet. Grease bottom of a glass. Dip in sugar, use to press cookies. Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 min.
