3 2/3 c. sugar
8 sticks cinnamon
5 c. orange juice
2 quarts water
8 allspice berries
4 c. lemon juice
24 whole cloves
4 t. chopped ginger
4 quarts apple juice or cider

Directions:
Directions:

Make syrup of sugar and water; add all of the above spices. Let stand in warm place for one hour. Don't boil, keep warm, strain, add juices, heat to boiling, bottle and refrigerate. Heat when serving, will keep for some time. Makes 2 1/2 gallons.
