1 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
2/3 c. cooked, mashed pumpkin or sweet potatoes
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. pecans, chopped
powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first 5 ingredients in a large mixing bowl; add next 3 ingredients. Beat on medium speed of electric mixer 1 minute or until smooth. Stir in pecans. Pour into a greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan, bake at 350 F. for 25-30 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool; sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cut into bars to serve.
