1 Tbsp cornstarch 6 Tbsp sugar 1/2 cup water Pinch of salt 3 large egg whites
Mix cornstarch, sugar, water and salt. Cook until thick and clear. Cool slightly. Beat egg whites until frothy. Continue beating while slowly pouring cooked mixture into beaten whites and continue beating for five minutes. Cover pie filling with meringue, making sure to cover edges. Bake at 450º for 5-7 minutes.
