1 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 T. light corn syrup
4 granny smith apples, cut in 1/4-inch thick pieces
3 eggs
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
9 slices day-old French bread

Directions:
Directions:
In a saucepan combine brown sugar, butter and corn syrup until thick. Pour the sauce into a 9x13-inch pan and arrange the apple slices on top of the sauce. In a small bowl mix eggs, milk, and vanilla. Dip the bread slices into the egg mixture and then on top of the apple slices. Cover the pan and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes.
