Pull off the skin and pick the chicken off of the bone. Set chicken aside. To your broth add 1 stick of butter, 1 cup of milk and salt and pepper to taste.
Now to do your dumplings - In a mixing bowl mix flour and oil adding a little of the broth mixture for liquid until your dough gets stiff. Roll your dough out very thin on a floured surface. Cut into small squares.
Now bring your broth mixture to a rolling boil and drop your dumplings in a few at a time. Make sure to stir them down after adding (they will float). When all dumplings are added, reduce the heat to low and add the chicken and stir gently until thickened. Serve immediately. |

Notes: If you do not want to make your own dumplings, you can also use canned biscuits. Just flour, roll them out very thin and cut into squares and drop into boiling mixture.
(Rhonda) 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a NIV "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails." Today is the day we celebrate "love", but let us not forget the greatest love of all is the love of God! Happy Valentines Day. God bless you all!
