1-1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. white sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 T. hot water
1 pkg. chocolate chips
2 c. quick oatmeal

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients and set aside. Cream shortening, sugars, egg, vanilla and hot water. Add flour mixture. Stir in chips and oatmeal. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes.
