Buttermilk
Gravy ingredients:
grease from bacon to cover bottom pan
3 to 4 T. flour
milk

Directions:
Directions:
Put flour in bowl, add crisco. Blend with fork until looks like corn meal. Make well in middle and pour a little buttermilk and stir. If not enough buttermilk to make to look like dough add more buttermilk.
Turn out on wax paper with flour on it. Sprinkle with a little of flour, knead only a few times. Flour your fingers. Pinch off small amounts and roll into the size of biscuit you like. Place on pan that has been greased with crisco good. Bake in hot oven until brown on bottom and then place in top rack on broil to brown top.

For gravy: after cooking bacon add flour to pan and brown the flour. Careful not to burn, add milk and stir constantly. Cook until thick as you like. If it gets to thick add more milk.
