6 sweet potatoes
1 C. sugar
1 Stick of butter

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and slice the length of potatoes to make strips.
Some wider than french fries and thin.
Melt butter in iron skillet careful not to burn butter.
Add potatoes, and sugar. Cover and cook on med to low heat turning carefully. After softened place in oven on 375.
Check for browning and the juice will turn to syrup consistency.

My Mama ( Lois Childs) could make this the bestever. I still use the iron skillet she had and used all of my life. Enjoy!!!
