1 cup shortening 1 cup brown sugar 1 cup (or less) white sugar 2 eggs 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 1/4 cups sifted flour 1 tsp. soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp cinnamon 3 cups Quick Oats 1/2 cup chopped nuts and or raisins
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Place shortening, sugars, vanilla and eggs in bowl and beat thoroughly. Sift flour with soda, salt and cinnamon. Add to shortening mixture and mix. Fold in oats, nuts and raisins. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes
