"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

1 1/2 C flour 3/8 tsp baking powder 1/3 C shortening 3/4 tsp salt 1/2 C water
Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl. Cut in shortening until mixture looks like meal. Gradually add water and mix until it separates from sides of bowl.
With hands, form dough into 8 balls. Roll each out and round, about 1/16 inch flat pastry. Heat on ungreased griddle on medium high heat until slightly browned or bubbly. Turn over. Serve hot or may be saved in fridge & reheated.
