"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

2 cups sugar
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
8 oz sour cream
2 large eggs
1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup water
1/4 cup cocoa

Fudge Frosting:
1 stick butter
1/3 c. milk
1/4 c. cocoa
1 pkg. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

Mix first 4 ingredients and then stir in sour cream and lightly beaten eggs. Melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in 1 cup of water and cocoa, continue to whisk until boiling. Remove from stove. Stir cocoa mixture into flour mixture. Pour into a greased 15 X 10 pan. If using a regular sheet cake pan, you'll need to bake a little longer.Bake at 325 for 20 to 25 minutes.

Melt butter over medium heat and whisk in milk and cocoa until boiling. Remove from heat, and gradually stir in sugar and vanilla. Spread fudge frosting over warm cake (but not hot!).
