**For cake - 1 egg, 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup shortening, 2 cups flour, 1 tsp soda, 1 tsp baking powder, 1/4 tsp salt, 1 cup sour milk (I use buttermilk or add T of vinegar to milk to sour) & 1 tsp vanilla.**For topping - 1/2 cup brown sugar, 2 tsp flour, butter & cinnamon.

Cream together egg, sugar & shortening and set aside. Mix together flour, soda, baking powder, salt and add to creamed mixture alternately with sour milk and vanilla. Put in a 9X13 greased pan. Top with brown sugar, flour and dot with butter & cinnamon. Bake at 350 for about 20 minutes.
