1/2 c soft shortening (half butter)
1/2 c peanut butter
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c brown sugar (packed)
1 egg
1 1/4 c sifted GOLD MEDAL flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp soda
1/4 tsp slt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven at 375. Mix throughly the first 5 ingredients. Sift together and stir in the remaining ingredients. Chill dough. Roll into balls size of large walnuts. Place 3" apart on lightly greased baking sheet. Flatten with fork dipped in flour...crisscross. bake until set... but not hard
