3 c. water
2 c. chicken broth
16 oz. tomatoes, undrained, chopped up
1 medium potato, peeled and diced
1/2 c. carrot, shredded
1/2 c. onion, chopped
1/2 c. celery, chopped
1 T. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. salt
1 bay leaf
4 peppercorns
3 c. cabbage, shredded
1/4 c. lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
In large kettle bring to oil water, broth, tomatoes, potato, carrot, celery, onion, sugar, salt, bay leaf and peppercorns. Cover, simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Add cabbage, simmer 10 minutes or until tender. Stir in lemon juice.
