4 eggs
1 1/4 c. sugar
28 oz can pumpkin
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. evaporated milk

1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1/2 c. hard margarine

Beat the eggs on high in medium bowl until frothy. Beat in sugar. Add pumpkin, spices, and salt. Beat on low to blend. Pour into greased 9x13" pan.
Topping: Put cake mix into bowl, cut in margarine until crumbly. Sprinkle over pumpkin mixture.

Bake at 350 for 45 min to an hour until knife inserted near the center comes out fairly clean.

Serve hot with ice cream or cold with whipped cream.

This dessert is great if you do not like to fuss over making a crust for pumpkin pie. There was not a bite leftover after Thanksgiving dinner.
