1 c. butter (use real butter)
1 c. oil
1 c. sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
4 c. flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
In large bowl, cream thoroughly the butter, oil and sugars. Add flavorings and eggs. Mix dry ingredients in bowl, then stir into mixture. Take a teaspoon of dough and roll in granulated sugar, place on lightly greased cookie sheet and press down with the bottom of a glass that has been dipped in granulated sugar. They should be about the size of a half-dollar when baked. Bake in a 375 F. oven for 10-12 minutes.
