Pastry for single crust pie
6 cups fresh medium strawberries
1 cup water
3/4 cup sugar
3 tbsp cornstarch

Directions:
Directions:
Bake pie shell in 450F oven for 10-12 minutes. Cool. For glaze crush 1 cup of the smaller berries, add water. Bring to a boil. Simmer 2 minutes and sieve. Combine sugar & cornstarch stir in sieved berries. Cook & stir til thickened & bubbly. Spread 1/4 cup glaze over bottom & sides of pastry shell. Arrange half of the remaining strawberries stem end down in pastry shell. Spoon half of the remaining glaze over berries. Arrange remaining berries, stem end down, on top of 1st layer. Spoon on remaining glaze. Chill for 3-4 hours.
