3 qt water
1 qt white vinegar
1 cup salt (coarse canning salt)

Bring to a hard boil.

Directions:

Pack cucumbers, fresh dill (at least 2 stalks), 2 cloves garlic in jars. Pour boiling solution over pickles and seal at once. Process in boiling water bath 5 minutes or until green look is gone. Takes about 6 weeks before ready to eat. Chill before opening. A small amount of alum may be added (1/4 tsp or less)
