1 cup butter, softened
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 cups oatmeal
1 12-oz. package chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs. Stir in oats, flour, baking soda and chips. Grease cookie sheet. Drop cookies by rounded spoonful onto cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes.

My maid-of-honor, Emily Schmidt, and I made these often while we were in high school. They are called Lem cookies in honor of Lauren and Emily!
