Notes: This is a recipe that Mother (Finley) wrote out for me. It is Florence's recipe. It is very good. I had written Mother when I was first married and away for Christmas. We always had so may good foods at Christmas time at home. All were homemade as we did not have the convenient mixes that are available now. Mother and Florence made a lot of cakes and candies ahead and served them to family and friends when they stopped by to visit.
