1/4 cup corn starch
1 cup sugar
1 1/4 cups cold water
2 egg yolks, slightly beater
Dash of salt
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 tsp granted lemon rind, pkd
1 tbsp butter

Directions:
Directions:
Blend corn starch and sugar in a 1-qt saucepan - stir in cold water gradually, and cook over medium heat until mixture boils and thickens, stirring constantly to keep from sticking,. Add some of the hot mixture to yolks, stir well and return to pan and cook and stir 2 more minutes. Remove from heat, add remaining ingredients and stir until well blended. Cook thoroughly before spreading on cooled cake. Enough to spread between two 8 inch layers and on top.
