Sunflower Nut Bars Recipe

35 caramels
3-4 T. cream or half & half
3 T. butter
3/4 c. margarine
1 c. flour
1 c. oatmeal
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1-6oz. bag chocolate chips
1-1/2 c. sunflower nuts

Melt caramels, cream & butter in double boiler or microwave. Mix margarine, flour, oatmeal, brown sugar, soda and salt together for crust. Put in greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake 10 minutes at 350. Pour caramel mixture over crust and top with sunflower seeds and then chocolate chips. Bake 10-15 minutes more.
