1 1/2 c. cracker crumbs, divided
1/2 c. melted butter

2 T. butter
1 T. chopped onion
1/4 c. green pepper, chopped

White sauce: 2 T. flour, 1 tsp. sugar, 1/2 tsp. salt, 2 T. butter, 1 c. milk.
2 beaten eggs

1 can of drained whole kernel corn ( the next size bigger than a soup can)

Mix cracker crumbs and butter and pat into a pie pan. Save 1/4 c. cracker crumbs for topping. Refrigerate pie plate to cool ( while making the rest of the corn pie)
In 2 T. butter- saute ( do not brown) 1T. onion and 1/4 c. green pepper. Cut both in TINY pieces.

White sauce: 2T. flour, 1 tsp. sugar, 1/2 tsp. salt and 2 T. butter, 1 c. milk. Cook until thick over med. heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add 2 beaten eggs and the onion mixture.
Put the can of drained corn in the pie shell. Pour on the white sauce and top with the rest of the crumbs. Bake 350 for 45 mins or until a knife comes out clean.
