16 oz. sliced bacon
2 (8oz.) cans water chestnuts, drained
sauce:
1 - 14oz. bottle ketchup
8 T. white sugar
dash of soy sauce
dash of hot sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Wrap water chestnuts with bacon, enough to go around, overlapping some. Secure with toothpick. Place on cookie sheet, not touching each other. Bake at 350 for 30 min. Pour off grease. Place water chestnuts in casserole dish. Mix all sauce ingredients and pour over water chestnuts, trying not to cover toothpicks. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Serve warm.

Variation: 1 c. brown sugar, 1 c. ketchup, and dash Worcestershire sauce.
