5 c. Cabbage, coarsely chopped
c. Yellow Sweet Pepper, chopped
2 T. Butter
c. Shredded Cheddar Cheese
2 T. Flour
c. Onion, chopped
tsp. Salt
4 c. prepared Cornbread, crumbled
⅛ tsp. Pepper
1 c. Milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375. Cook the cabbage in salted boiling water for 5 minutes & drain. In a saucepan, melt butter & stir in the flour, salt, & pepper. Add the milk. Cook and stir until thickened & bubbly. Add the sweet pepper, cheese, and onion. Stir until the cheese is melted. Remove from heat. Place 3 c. of the cornbread in a 2 qt. casserole dish. Top with cabbage, then the mixture, then the cornbread. Bake uncovered at 375 for 30 to 35 minutes or until heated through. Makes 8 side-dish servings.
