4 cups sugar
1 cup light Karo corn syrup
1 1/2 cups water
2 egg whites, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup nuts, finely ground

Directions:
Directions:
Boil until it spins a heavy thread. Add to 2 beaten egg whites. Beat until it loses its gloss. Add 1 tsp. vanilla and 1 cup nuts, ground fine.

Variations of Divinity

2 cups white sugar
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup dark Karo corn syrup
1 1/2 cups water

Proceed as in original recipe.
