1 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup peanut butter
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups flour
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugars, eggs, peanut butter and vanilla until light and fluffy. Sift flour, salt, baking powder and soda and add to first mixture. Chill. form dough into balls the size of a walnut; flatten with fork dipped in flour. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees. Makes 4 dozen
