1 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar, plus extra for garnish
2 eggs, separated
3 cups flour
Cinnamon
Pecan halves or cherries for garnish

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter and brown sugar. Cool. Add 1 egg and 1 egg yolk. Add flour; blend with hands. Roll thin; cut with pastry wheel (I cut in diamond shapes). Beat egg white slightly. Spread on cookies; sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Place pecan half or cherry in center of each. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
