"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
This recipe for Pasta in a Pot, by The Rank Family, is from The Taste of Tonawanda,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
2lbs of ground beef 2 medium onions chopped 1 clove of garlic crushed 1lb of shell macaroni 1lb can of stewed tomatoes 1-15oz jar of Ragu spaghetti sauce/ I use a half jar more sauce 1 1/2 pints of sour cream 1/2 lb of provolone cheese 1/2 lb of mozzarella cheese
Brown beef in olive oil add chopped onion and drain. Add tomatoes and sauce and simmer 20 minutes. Cook and drain pasta. Add 1/2 of the pasta to casserole dish, pour 1/2 of spaghetti sauce over noodles. Take 1/2 of sour cream and spread on top, along with provolone cheese. Repeat first step ending with mozzarella cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes, enjoy!
I use 1 and 1/2 jars of sauce because it is a little dry with one.
