1 package (16 oz.) ziti, uncooked
1 lb. ground beef
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 cups (30-oz.) spaghetti sauce (Ragu Parmesan and Romano)
1/2 cup red wine
1 tsp. oregano leaves
1 tsp. dried basil
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cups (8 oz.) shredded mozzarella cheese

Prepare pasta as directed on package. Cook only 7 minutes. Drain.

Meanwhile, brown beef, onions and garlic. Drain. Add spaghetti sauce and heat with the beef, onions and garlic. Shake a little parmesan cheese into the sauce.

Mix cooked beef, pasta, spaghetti sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese (small handful), and seasonings in a large bowl. Pour into 13X9-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining shredded mozzarella cheese.

Bake at 350ºF for 30 minutes.

The ground beef and wine give it a nice flavor. Here’s a tip. Buy some extra spaghetti sauce. If the ziti seems too dry when it is cooking, you can pour a little sauce on top to make it moister.
