1 cake yeast or 1 pkg dry yeast
2 c warm water
1/2 c sugar
1 1/2 t salt
1 egg, beaten
6 c flour
4 T vegetable shortening or oil

Directions:
Directions:
Combine yeast in water in large bowl, allowing yeast to dissolve. Add sugar, salt, egg and 1/2 c flour and mix. Add shortening or oil, mixing well, then add the rest of the flour. Let the dough rest in the refrigerator overnight.

Punch dough down and make shape of rolls desired. Let rolls rise until doubled in size. Bake at 400* for 15-20 minutes.

Dough may be kept in the refrigerator for up to a week. Just pinch off as much dough as needed at one time and keep rest refrigerated until use.
