Melt 1 c. butter and add 2 c. firmly packed brown sugar. Stir and add 2 well beaten eggs. Stir in 2 c. flour, 2 t. baking powder and 1/2 t. salt. Add 1 t. vanilla. Stir in small 6 oz. package chocolate chips and 1 c. walnuts coated with a little flour.
Bake in greased 9 x 13 pan at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
