salt

optional:
chives
Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Put the cut potatoes in a large stockpot, cover with cold water, add 3 cloves of chopped garlic and salt. Bring to a boil, then simmer until the potatoes are fork tender, about 20 to 30 minutes. Drain well in a colander.

Next, I put the potatoes in my Kitchenaid mixer and add remaining 3 cloves of minced garlic, sour cream, butter, and add milk slowly to you preferred consistency. Add salt and pepper to taste.

You can add chives or sometimes I place the potatoes in a glass baking dish and sprinkle a layer of Parmesan cheese. Broil the potatoes until cheese is melted.

I always make this dish for our holiday dinners together. There is nothing in the world I would trade for my Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner memories with Memow.
