"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
Little Hummingbirds need feed too....so here is a recipe for homemade hummingbird feed.
4 cups water 1 cup sugar
Bring to boil 1 cup of water and add 1 cup of sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. Now pour the mixture into a pitcher and add the remaining 3 cups of cold water and stir. (you do not have to add red dye - the birds like it just like this.) Now pour the mixture into your Hummingbird Feeders and watch the birds come. Refrigerate the remaining mixture for about a week.
This will fill about 4 Humming Bird Feeders
Sulli loves to help Mamie feed the birds. I am sure that Jasper will be old enough this summer to start helping.
