1 cup unprocessed bran
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg slightly beaten
3/4 cup buttermilk
2 tablespoons Molasses
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoon oil
1/2 raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together the bran, wheat flour, baking powder, soda, and salt. Set aside. Mix in large bowl; well beaten egg, buttermilk, molasses, honey and oil. Stir in dry ingredients and raisins. Mix well. Bake in greased muffin tins at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

Mrs. Hardy wrote out this recipe at Christmas in 1974, the first Christmas that Lee and I were married.. Back then he did asked me to not put in the raisins, but now likes them in pumpkin bread, oatmeal cookies and these muffins.
