3 pounds beef cut into cubes
1/2 cup flour
2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 cup butter
2 onions
1 glove garlic
1 1/2 tsp Worchestershire sauce
1/4 cup ketsup
1 can mushrooms
1 1/2 cup buttermilk

Combine flour, salt, and pepper. Coat the beef in the flour mixture and brown in a large skillet in butter. Add onion, garlic, and Worchestershire. Drain the juice from the mushrooms into a measuring cup and add enough water to make quantity sufficient to one cup. Add to beef mixture and simmer two hours. Add mushrooms and buttermilk, heat until warm. Serve with hot buttered noodles or mashed potatoes.
